Marianne Lee is vice president of content, general entertainment, at Turner Asia Pacific.
Based in Hong Kong, Lee defines and executes content and channel strategy for Turner’s general entertainment brands. Her portfolio of pan-regional channels includes Warner TV and Oh!K, as well as two special-interest brands, TCM and truTV, and the documentary offering World Heritage Channel.
Launched in October 2014, Oh!K is a channel available in Southeast Asia dedicated to the best of Korean entertainment. It features popular drama series and variety shows fast-tracked from MBC, a major studio and broadcaster in Korea. Meanwhile, Warner TV is home to the ultimate in blockbuster TV – featuring exclusive must-see action, drama and comedy from the biggest US studios and networks including Warner Bros. and TNT. World Heritage Channel launched in 2015 and offers viewers an exclusive look into our world’s most treasured places.
Before Turner, Lee was with Universal Networks International based in Singapore. There she was responsible for the overall program strategy in Asia, including program and format acquisitions, scheduling, and original productions.
Prior to Universal, Lee was at Sony Pictures Television Networks, Asia, following more than 10 years at Television Broadcasts in Hong Kong.
