Luis Esparza leads International Technology to enable and support Turner International’s media supply chain and back-office, serving 48 brands, including content technology acquisition, preparation and distribution for 180+ channels in 34 languages across 200+ countries in EMEA, APAC and Latin America.
Esparza started his Turner career in 1998 as an IT Support Specialist at the Company’s Mexico office. In 2000 he moved to Atlanta to assume the role of Webmaster for Cartoon Network and TNT Latin America. He later took on increasing responsibilities across digital media, telecommunications and broadcasting. In 2011, he was appointed vice president of Technology and Operations for Turner Latin America and relocated to Buenos Aires. After five years, corporate brought Luis back to Turner headquarters in Atlanta.
Luis is an electronic systems engineer and has a master's degree in IT administration; both degrees are from Tecnológico de Monterrey. He reports to Aksel Van der Wal, executive vice president of Digital Ventures & Innovation and to Whit Richardson, president of Turner Latin America.
