Alex Gonzalez is senior vice president of corporate development and digital media for Turner Latin America. In this capacity, Gonzalez leads business development, strategic planning and mergers and acquisitions in support of new growth initiatives and business ventures in Latin America. In addition, Gonzalez is responsible for driving and managing the digital distribution efforts on web, mobile, and non-linear television platforms for Turner’s 19 Pay TV brands in Latin America.
Gonzalez has played a key role in the origination, execution, and operational integration of the division’s most significant equity transactions, including acquisitions of the Claxson Pay TV business and Chilevisión, as well as joint venture investments in CNN Chile and CNNMéxico.com, where he previously served on the executive advisory committees of both companies. He most recently steered the company’s strategic acquisition of the Brazilian sports programmer, Esporte Interativo (EI), where he sat on the board as Turner’s representative for nearly two years. Gonzalez has a BA from Duke University and holds an MBA from Harvard Business School.
